Terms & Conditions

Tembelani Adventure Safaris CC (CK. 2001/ 049 467 / 23), does not hold itself responsible for any loss, damage, delays, accidents, death, injury or sickness and disease while guests are on safari.

Whilst every effort is made to ensure your comfort and safety on safari, we recommend that you take out travel and personal insurance.

DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTS:
A 50% deposit within 14 days, is required, to secure your booking, 10% of which is NON REFUNDABLE

Full settlement is to be made no less than 120 days prior to the contracted safari date.

To avoid flight cost increases we prefer to have all private charters, and commercial flights paid in full with the deposit. Deposits are paid to all lodges, hotels, airlines and guided activities in order to confirm reservations as per the itinerary. A safari is only taken as booked when the deposit is received, and the lodges have been paid their deposits to secure the dates provisionally booked.

Our Safari proposals, and quotes are subject to availability at the time of booking.

We (Tembelani Adventure Safaris CC), reserve the right to cancel any reservation for which the total safari cost has not been paid in full by the due date, in which case, the deposit, and any other payments received, will be forfeited.

No amendments to itineraries will be accepted less than 30 days before the arrival date, thereafter, all alterations to itineraries are considered to be cancellations and re-bookings.

All quotes are subject to exchange rate fluctuations and fuel price increases.

CANCELLATION FEES:

  • Cancellation of your safari must be in writing.
  • Cancellations are only effective on receipt of written notification.

Should you cancel:

  • More than 60 days prior to arrival – 10% of the total invoice is NON – REFUNDABLE
  • Less than 90 days prior to arrival – 25% of the total invoice is NON – REFUNDABLE
  • Less than 60 days prior to arrival – 100% of the invoiced price is payable.

Please note that we pay deposits to Lodges, Hotels, flights and activities for the Safari and are therefore subject to their cancellation policies as well.

Should the balance of the payment not be made within the “100 Day balance of payment period”, this will be viewed as a cancellation and no refund will be made.

Should a cancellation of the safari be made after the due date for full payment of your safari fare, the full safari value will be charged.

All efforts will be made to reschedule a safari.

Should you fail to join the safari after the commencement date or leave prior to its completion, no refund will be made.

All guests are required to sign safari indemnity forms upon arrival and may also be called to sign Indemnity forms at most safari lodges visited.

DELAYS OF ANY SCHEDULES:
Tembelani Adventure Safaris cannot be held liable for any delays, or additional costs incurred as a result of airlines, air-charter services not running to schedule. The safari quotation, excludes the cost, of any diversions, on scheduled or private air charter flights, caused by adverse weather or diversions for safety reasons.

Whilst we endeavour to ensure that all anticipated restaurants, accommodation, and attractions etc. are available as planned, there will be no claim of any nature whatsoever against Tembelani Adventure Safaris for a refund either in part or whole, if any accommodation, or excursion is unavailable or the passenger was unable to use that service.

PASSPORTS AND VISAS:
The onus is upon the guest to ensure that passports, and visas are valid for the countries visited. Tembelani Adventure Safaris, their staff and their agents cannot be held liable for any visas etc. not held by the guests. Passengers should ensure that they have comprehensive insurance before travelling in order to cover cancellations, medical expenses, personal baggage etc.

HEALTH:
Anti-malarial precautions should be taken prior to arrival, and guests should bring their own insect repellent. Please consult your doctor well before your safari date. It is important that your medical insurance covers private hospital fees. Good anti sun-burn cream is a must.
